Meet the Team

Megan joined Drew in January 2024 and has significant experience as an educator and administrator. She worked in risk management and travel safety in higher education and as a faculty member and global programs leader in secondary schools. She earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in History from the University of Delaware and an Ed.M. with a concentration in Global Studies in Education and International Education Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. As a student, she studied abroad in the United Kingdom and Morocco, and speaks very minimal French. Megan has led short-term programming in Bosnia i Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, and the United States. Megan is committed to making global education as accessible and meaningful as possible to all Drew students and fostering innovation in the design of study abroad and study away programming.

Julian joined Drew University in December 2022 and is passionate about connecting students with impactful experiences in New York City and around the world. Prior to Drew he worked in enrollment management as well as branding and licensing. He earned his BA in International Studies from Fairfield University where he also studied abroad at Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil and became proficient in Portuguese. Julian also speaks Spanish and was raised in a Cuban American family in Brooklyn, NY.

Trekker has been the Center for Global Education’s unofficial mascot since 2021 and has been traveling the world ever since! Students embarking on a nycTREC, shortTREC, or longTREC can have Trekker tag along and feature their travels on Instagram @DrewGlobalEd. When not on the road, Trekker hangs out at Davies House foraging for international snacks. Trekker looks forward to the next adventure!
