  • Program Fee: $6,350 (Final program cost may be lower based on enrollment)
  • Includes: 8-credit tuition, accommodations, most breakfast and dinner meals, local transportation, cultural activities, and excursions.
  • Excludes: Airfare, passport and/or visa fees, additional meals, and other miscellaneous costs not covered by the program provider.

Stay in charming and breathtaking Sorrento and visit picturesque cliffside cities alongside the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea through excursions to the Amalfi Coast (Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano), Pompeii, and the Island of Capri. Sharpen your Italian language skills in structured courses and cultural activities, including immersing yourself in Mediterranean cuisine. Stay with a host family to authentically experience the iconic coastal lifestyle known around the world.

How do people create a shared community? Does a shared language deepen a sense of belonging? How can we know Italian culture through food, artisanal products, and fine and performing arts? What is the significance of “Made in Italy” certification in terms of quality, style, and prestige?

Explore

Establish World-Citizen Credentials

Take classes for a total of eight credits (one language and one culture), earning a certificate of language achievement at the renowned Sant’Anna Institute. Explore Italian culture, visiting museums, cathedrals, and the Pompeii archeological site. Experience a food tour and tasting of local products like mozzarella, lemon, and olive oil. Take a cooking class to create a traditional three-course Mediterranean meal and learn how to make pizza. Pitch in on exciting and rewarding community projects with Italian volunteers in a soup kitchen, foster home, and local NGOs.

Fluency in foreign languages and cross-cultural relationships are assets in any career. This community-based, interdisciplinary program helps students to attain a greater capacity for reconciling differences across cultural frameworks.
