Travel
Visit sites in Ireland and Northern Ireland, and experience firsthand encounters with people and places associated with the Northern Irish conflict, commonly known as “The Troubles.” Learn about the role of memory and trauma in sectarian disagreements as well as in efforts at peace and reconciliation. Destination highlights include a visit to Dublin and the legendary Corrymeela Peace Community as well as to memorials of significant events, such as the Bloody Sunday Museum in Derry and the Peace Wall in Belfast.
Rethink
Engaging Differences
What role do competing narratives about identity and sovereignty play in conflict? What range of ideas can be explored that challenge conventional wisdom in resolving the dual narrative dimension of conflict? How does the power of dialogue take shape?
