What is the Peer Career Coach Program, and how does it work?
Drew’s Center for Career Development Peer Career Coach program is a peer education and outreach initiative that empowers a cohort of undergraduates to support the Center’s goal of increasing student awareness of and engagement with career development programs and resources.
Peer Career Coaches are trained to assist their peers in the career planning process, to have a strong understanding of the resources in the career center, and to help guide fellow students based on individual needs. PCCs will host drop-in hours throughout the week, in high traffic areas across campus, so that fellow students can get support on the go.
How can a Peer Career Coach help me?
PCCs will be available to provide assistance in the following areas, on a drop-in basis, without the need for an appointment:
- Getting started with Handshake
- Getting the most out of Handshake
- Resume Review
- CCD Resources for Career Exploration, Resume Development, Job and Internship Search, INTC-200, Career Readiness Competencies, Skill Development, DEIA, and more
