Closing the Loop
Although all parts of the assessment process are important, closing the loop on the assessment cycle is perhaps the most meaningful. Closing the loop, or actually doing something to improve student learning in response to the assessment process, turns assessment into the continuous quality improvement process that it is intended to be. There are a number of key questions that can be asked when considering how to take action based on assessment results.
