Paraprofessional Teacher Pathway
The Paraprofessional Teach Pathway is an on-the-job delivery of a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education degree program, powered by BloomBoard. This residency-like program is designed for aspiring teachers who are working as paraprofessionals or support staff in partner schools.

Application Process
The Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education is offered in partnership with school districts who pre-select prospective students by their employer.
Application requirements include:
- Invitation to apply from your school district
- Completed Associate’s (AA or AS) from an accredited institution
- 30 semester-hour credits in core-content subject areas, including English, mathematics, social studies/history, and/or science
- GPA 3.0 (Individuals with strong applications will be considered with 2.75 GPA.)

Teacher Certification
Drew University is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education as a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) Provider to offer programs that may lead to certification to teach in New Jersey. Drew University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), and the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE).
