Students interested in the EOS program at Drew may express interest in their initial admission process or once they are a student. To assist you in the admission process, we have outlined the steps for you here:

First-Year Students

  1. Apply to Drew University using either the Common Application or Coalition for College.
  2. On the Drew application supplement, select ‘Yes, interested in the EOS program’.
  3. The Office of Admissions will review your admission application and send you your admission decision via your admission portal.
  4. Submit your FAFSA adding Drew’s code 002603 or NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application (AAFSA).
  5. After you are admitted, the Office of Financial Aid reviews your financial aid information from the FAFSA or NJ AAFSA to determine eligibility for EOF.
  6. EOS Staff review eligible applicants and invite select applicants for an interview to determine acceptance into the EOS program.
  7. Students will receive their EOS decision via their enrollment portal.

Transfer Students

  1. Apply to Drew via Common App.
  2. Select YES – when answering the question that you are interested in the EOS program.
  3. The admissions office determines if you are admissible to Drew University.
  4. Complete FAFSA or NJ AAFSA and HESAA.
  5. If admitted to Drew University, you will be notified via Slate and in your enrollment portal.
  6. For students that meet admissions criteria, they will be passed along to the financial aid office to make a determination of financial eligibility for EOF.
  7. Financial Aid Review – Students that meet financial eligibility will be passed along to the EOS office.
  8. Once admitted to Drew University and confirmed EOF eligible by Financial Aid, please also reach out to the Recruitment Specialist via email, [email protected], to confirm interest in EOS.
  9. If you participated in EOF at your previous institution, please have their EOF staff complete the previous institution’s EOF Transfer Form and send it via email to the Recruitment Specialist, [email protected], to evaluate eligibility.
  10. EOS Director and Recruitment Specialist will determine eligibility and acceptance based on program space and availability.
  11. Accepted students will receive an EOS acceptance letter via Slate.
  12. Additional correspondence from EOS staff may follow.

Current Non-EOS Drew Students – Admissions Process

First Year through Junior Year Students Only (Seniors Not Eligible)

  1. Directly reach out to the Recruitment Specialist via email, [email protected],, to express interest in EOS.
  2. Staff will determine eligibility and make an acceptance decision based on program space and availability.
  3. Accepted students will receive an EOS acceptance letter via Slate.
  4. Additional correspondence from EOS staff may follow.

EOS Waitlist

Students who are admitted to Drew University but are not selected for the EOS Program, either due to applying or depositing after standard admission deadlines or by requesting to apply for EOS after submitting their application and receiving their admission decision, may request to be placed on the EOS Waitlist. If a spot in the EOS Program becomes available, the EOS Recruitment Specialist will notify students on the EOS Waitlist to see if they would still like to join the program.

EOS Decision Appeal

If a student was accepted to Drew University but was not selected for the EOS Program due to a student’s ineligibility upon review against the eligibility criteria, students may appeal the decision by contacting the EOS Recruitment Specialist. Students will be asked to provide supporting information to suggest that they are eligible for the EOF grant per the state-recognized criteria.
