Parking & Motor Vehicle Information
Traffic and parking regulations are necessary to ensure the safety of the University community and our guests. The following regulations are designed to promote the safe flow of traffic on our campus and to provide as much on-campus parking as possible. The online version of these traffic regulations is the most up-to-date and shall be regarded as the official guide to parking and driving on Drew University’s campus. All members of the community are responsible for reviewing and adhering to the following guidelines.
Motor Vehicle Ticket Appeals
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
-
- Tickets MUST be appealed within 5 days of the violation. After the 5th day, the right to appeal is lost and you are responsible for all fines associated with the ticket.
- Towing and Impound fees may not be appealed.
To appeal a ticket, go to the PARKING PORTAL link, click on the SEARCH TICKETS link, type in ticket number, and then click on APPEAL link. Please make sure to include the date, time, and nature of the violation, as well as a written paragraph adding the reasoning and supporting information for why the violation should be changed/overturned. These appeals will be heard and decided upon by staff in Campus Security, who are not responsible for the initial issuance of the violation.
For those appealing more than one ticket, you must file a separate appeals form for each ticket
Frequently Asked Questions
I AM A FIRST YEAR STUDENT AND WANT TO BRING MY CAR TO CAMPUS FOR A FEW DAYS. MAY I MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THIS?
A: First years and Sophomores may only get temporary parking permits from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. They will not be given temporary permits for any other times unless they receive special approval in advance from the Director of Campus Security or designee.

I AM A SENIOR BUT DO NOT HAVE A CAR ON CAMPUS. MAY I REGISTER MY FRIEND’S CAR IN MY NAME?
A: No. The car must belong to the student or the parents of the student who is registering it.
IF IT’S NIGHT, AND THE ONLY AVAILABLE PARKING SPACES ARE IN TILGHMAN LOT, FAR AWAY FROM MY RESIDENCE HALL, WHAT CAN I DO TO FEEL SAFE?
