Drew Professor Exhibits ‘Metaphors’

Lee Arnold teaches digital imaging, video and animation.

February 2019 – The latest exhibit from Drew Associate Professor Lee Arnold features work that combines photography and drawing.

Lee Arnold: Metaphors,” at The Hotchkiss School’s Tremaine Art Gallery in Connecticut, includes images of landscapes in Wyoming, Maine, California, Nevada, Italy, Switzerland and The Netherlands. Some of the overlaid drawings stem from NASA data sets measuring climate change. As Arnold explains, “I have become increasingly fascinated by the aesthetics of information and how abstract imagery is used to tell complex stories with data.” Here’s a glimpse.
