Isabella Alderton C’22
Psychology major, business, dance, and law, justice, and society triple minor

Where they’re going
Alderton will pursue a Masters in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

“Drew helped me by giving me the support I needed to be able to get to the position I am in. I always had people I could go to whenever I needed. Even in the last three weeks leading up to graduation, my mentors have met with me so many times and have answered all my questions super fast.”
The international experience
“Coming from Australia, I found the international student orientation to be wonderful. It made everything easier by giving us time to meet a small group of people before the full class arrived for orientation. They also helped us get settled by setting up things like bank accounts that we’d need throughout our time in the U.S.”
Key advice
“Building a network is highly important. In the future, you will need references for your dualities, work ethic, performance, and commitment. Also, having a set goal in life is critical to your way of thinking. Last but not least, my favorite thing to highlight is that the way in which you represent yourself will always matter. I make sure I dress for success as often as I can so that I always have an ambitious perspective for my goals.”
