Drew Summer Transition Program

The Drew Summer Program is a transition program designed to help first-year students who have documented disabilities, and intend to register with the Office of Accessibility Resources, acclimate to Drew. The program is intended to boost self-advocacy, independence, and academic skills, which will help prepare the students for a smooth transition to college life.

Please note that this program is separate from the Drew Learning Support Program, which runs during the academic year, however students may opt into that program as well. Here is more information about the Drew Learning Support Program.

Dates: August 11, 2025 – August 15, 2025
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Will consist of 4 sessions with breaks in between. Sessions will incorporate lecture and discussion with hands-on activities.
Cost: The fee for the program is $750

If interested in participating in the program, please complete the following Drew Summer Transition Program Interest Form no later than May 9, 2025.

The program will be an in-person commuter program located at Drew University. Students are expected to bring a bagged lunch. Light refreshments will be provided.

The sessions will include engagement on topics such as:

  • Information about the Office of Accessibility Resources (including policies and procedures)
  • Study Skills
  • Time Management Skills
  • Writing Skills
  • Technology Skills
  • Syllabus Training
  • Resources (both academic and non)
  • Extra curricular involvement on campus
  • Becoming familiar with buildings on campus (both academic and non) as well as downtown Madison
