Our Staff
Drew’s response to Title IX reports of sexual and/or relationship violence may involve a variety of staff members throughout the process. The Title IX Coordinator and Deputy Coordinators offer support and guidance to all members of the community, as well as serving in differing roles. Coordinators have specialized experience in responding to disclosures of sexual and gender-based harassment. Other members of the Title IX process include advisors, investigators, and decision-makers.
Drew staff receive training throughout the year in best practices primarily through Drew’s membership in the SUNY SCI.

Title IX Committee
The Title IX committee is formally charged with advising the Title IX Coordinator on matters relating to the University’s compliance with the Title IX Education Amendments of 1972 and Drew’s Sexual Misconduct Policy and related procedures. These deal with nondiscrimination on the basis of protected classes of sex, gender, gender identity and expression, and affectional or sexual orientation. While much of the committee work may be in identifying prevention and educational program and policy needs regarding sexual and relationship violence and stalking, it is also charged with monitoring, evaluating, and determining if equity exists in all areas of the University. The appointment to this committee is done by either the University Title IX Coordinator, or through election by appropriate community body (e.g., Faculty, DSA, Student Government).
