430 international students keep Drew as top-ranked New Jersey baccalaureate school
November 2023 – Drew University remains one of the top schools for international students according to the Institute of International Education (IIE) Open Doors 2023 report.
Drew ranked 11th among U.S. baccalaureate colleges based on 2022-23 international student enrollment (430 students).
Drew remained the only school in New Jersey to rank among the top 40 baccalaureate schools.
“This ranking is a testament to Drew’s recruiting efforts and our accepting, engaging campus community,” said Frank Merckx, vice president of enrollment management and campus life. “We take pride in embracing all that international students bring to our campus both academically and culturally.”
The impressive ranking can be linked to the success of the INTO Drew University program which creates a direct enrollment pathway for prospective international students, as well as the school’s International Student & Scholar Services department, which helps support international students once on campus.
“Drew’s seven New York Semesters, 19 Dual-Degree programs, and truly unique undergraduate research opportunities are big draws for our international students,” said Laura Arthur, executive director of INTO Drew University.
“We have students hailing from more than 50 countries. They come to Drew from diverse backgrounds and find themselves at home here.”
