Program Review Process
Drew’s International Travel Oversight Committee (ITOC) ensures that a consistent set of travel standards is followed by all units of the University. The Committee sets policies that apply to health, safety and risk management issues for all international travel programs sponsored by the University. It also reviews and makes decisions on appeals to those policies. The ITOC is chaired by the Director of the Center for Global Education. Committee members consist of representatives from across campus, including administrators, academic deans, and those with expertise on institutional risk. The Committee makes recommendations regarding policies and appeals to the Provost. Decisions of the Provost are final.
Drew monitors Travel Advisories from the Department of State (DoS) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC), holds membership in the Overseas Advisory Security Council (OSAC), and follows state and local travel advisories to inform the institutional travel policy.
