Find Your Zone-Silent, Quiet, Social and Hybrid

There are several kinds of study zones in the library:[accordion openfirst=true][accordion-item title=”Study Zones” state=open]Several parts of the library are designated silent zones, areas of self-enforced silence and individual study. These include the Kean Room on Level C, Baldwin Room on Level E, all of Levels A, B, D, and F. The main commons area and the entrance atrium area on Level C are designated social zones for collaboration/group study.  Cornell room on Level E and all group study rooms are designated quiet zones, low brief conversation while studying as a group.  Hybrid zones include the CAE (Center for Academic Excellence) and UWC (University Writing Center) in Pilling room, Level E.  Hybrid zones combine social and quiet zones.  Please be respectful of others and mindful of your volume in hybrid zones.  [/accordion-item][accordion-item title=”Group Study Spaces”  id=groupstudies]The library has 5 group study spaces:

Two glassed in study rooms with large-screen monitors, and a white board wall  are located on level C.  These rooms are not entirely enclosed, we request that noise be moderated while using these two rooms. Connector cables are already installed (Mac users: ask at Reserve for the special Mac cable) in these two study rooms.  There are three additional group study rooms in the library.  Tipple/Room 212 on Level E, LC 47 and LC 12 on Level A.  Group study spaces are for Drew students and faculty only in groups of two or more. A Drew ID card is required to check out the room key, the ID is held until the key is returned. Time period is two hours with the possibility of an extension, if no one else has signed up for the room. These spaces may be reserved, online at drew.libcal.com/spaces, or in person at the Circulation /Reserve counter.
