Virtual event showcases student projects, performances, and research
April 2021 – Drew University students delivered research presentations, musical performances, and poetry readings at the annual Day of Scholars event.
The virtual event was livestreamed on Drew’s website via YouTube, and featured Q&A sessions with each presenting student. Many of the 200-plus attendees provided virtual applause through the spirited live chat.
Fourteen students took part in the live portion of the event, while 15 more students pre-recorded their performances and presentations, which were made available at the Day of Scholars website.
Artistic performances ranged from creative writing readings to piano pieces, while research projects encompassed everything the social sciences/humanities and science fields had to offer, including looks at natural disaster management, DNA, voting, and the safety of amphibious aircraft.
An online gallery of Senior Studio student work was also part of the academic celebration of student achievement.
